Monroe County's economic development organizations, Pocono Mountains Industries, the Monroe County Industrial Development Authority and the Pocono Mountains Industrial park Authority, are committed to responsible economic development, the creation of jobs and enhancing the quality of life for our citizens. In order to assure prosperity in the future, we seek to diversity our economy by attracting companies that complement our present industry mix while preserving our unique quality of life.

We offer direct assistance for companies in acquiring financing packages, incentives and low-interest loans for job creation or retention. We can assist businesses apply for Job Creation tax credits. Customized Job Training and other programs that can save businesses money.

We are also responsible for the management of the Pocono Mountains Business Park (PMBP) and the Pocono Mountains Corporate Center East (PMCCE). PMBP houses nine companies, employing over 1,000 people, with an additional 12.0 acres available for expansion. The new Pocono Mountains Corporate Center East covers 250 acres and has shovel-ready sites available now. The first building constructed at the PMCCE is the Mountain Healthcare Center, a 54,000 square foot comprehensive medical facility. The next phase of development will be the Pocono Mountains Corporate Center West that will provide an additional 600 acres of industrial property for business expansion.

As a partner with PA CareerLink Monroe County, we also offer the Pennsylvania Business Calling Program to all Monroe County businesses. This is the only business retention program in the Commonwealth and it is dedicated to assisting our existing businesses grow and expand. Businesses can contact either the Monroe County Industrial Development Authority or PA CareerLink Monroe County to participate.
